Headline Poem 12/2/14 -- on the elevator up to floor nine

on the elevator up to floor nine 

i lean in   to you. 

to .whisper 

what i promised myself 

i'd share 

during the short

days of december. 

   and figure     

      this     is 

 

the best way. 

      because after i'm done 

you still. have

to stand   next to me. 

for at least 

    three     more        floors
